Each tube contains a series of individually addressable pixels and can be supplied in lengths of 1, 2, 3 and 4 feet. These tubes can be connected to Iceled UFO controllers for a master control of show lights in your vehicle. In addition, the one-foot tubes have a a built-in color changing program that makes it suitable for stand-alone operation. If you plan to purchase a full UFO kit but would like to experiment with Iceled products first, the 1 foot tubes are perfect for you. Put them under the seats or in the grille. All Iceled tubes are engineered to withstand exposure to harsh environments. The electronic components are fully protected in within a shatterproof polycarbonate tube. Each tube comes with a generous 16 foot length of robust three-core cable.   LEDs Every tube is filled with groups of high quality red, green, and blue 'sun power' LEDs for unrivaled brightness. The precision optical characteristics of these devices produce a uniform beam pattern that radiates over an extra wide 70 degrees. The entire visible spectrum is rendered accurately and vividly with these top of the line Iceled tubes.   Applications Additional tubes of any size may be connected to Iceled Spot or UFO controllers (up to a maximum of 8 foot per channel). Note that "single pixel" Iceled interior controllers, such as the Iceled Spot, will illuminate the entire length of the tube with the same color.   One-foot tubes Unlike the longer tubes, one foot tubes can be used without an external controller. A stand alone mode allows them to perform a variety of functions simply by connecting them to a 12 Volt DC supply. This makes them ideal as a "starter" product   STAND-ALONE PROGRAM     All ICELED light sources have a simple three-wire connection with standardised colour coding: The red wire is battery supply (+12VDC), the green wire is supply return (i.e. chassis or battery - terminal) and the blue wire carries ICELED colour data   The blue data wire is normally connected to an ICELED controller (such as UFO) in order to instruct the light source to emit a particular colour. However certain products such as ICELED Gem, Spot and One-foot tubes, can also be used without a controller. If no data is present when the power is applied, then these devices will all start running an internal programme designed to provide as much functionality as possible with only the interruption of the supply voltage as a control system.   Phase  Description A   Rapid fade-up to peak intensity white following the connection to the power source B   Hold on peak white C   Gentle transition from peak white to the colour change phase D   Colour phasing - cycles seamlessly through the visible spectrum until power disconnected   Freezing the colour At any time, the programme may be halted by briefly switching the power supply off then back on (within less than a second). This simple action allows the light source to be frozen on any particular colour (or white) just by toggling the switch controlling power to the device. A single flash from the LED's provides acknowledgment that this command has been accepted.   Un-freezing The light source will remain frozen on the chosen colour until the next time it is switched off. Once again, if the supply is interrupted for less than a second, the programme will resume from where it left off (acknowledged by two flashes) If switched off for any longer, the programme will resume from the start the next time it is powered up.   Wiring options In stand-alone applications the unused blue wire should be connected along with the green wire to chassis. In the case of plug'n'play Gem it is sufficient to leave the optional cable harness disconnected. In certain installations it will also be possible to power the light source independently but still connect the data wire to a controller such as UFO. In this case, the light source will follow UFO when operational (providing the device is also powered) or run the stand-alone programme when UFO is off.   Pixel Structure The LEDs in each tube are arranged into separate pixels that can simultaneously display any of 2,097,152 different colors. Resolution enhancement technology employed by the UFO ECU multiplies the effective number of these pixels so that patterns run in a seamless fashion for incredibly fluid effects. The maximum power drain is just 0.3 Amps per one-foot section. Current draw stabilization guarantees that the tubes operate consistently at peak intensity over an extra wide voltage range of 8 to 18 Volts DC.

Iceled UFO Extend Kit   1' Price: $254.99 2' Price: $334.99 3' Price: $414.99 4' Price: $494.99   Iceled EXP connects to the Iceled UFO in order to expand the side-tube pattern to fill additional tubes. EXP can be used to extend the standard side-tube length to five, six, seven or eight feet by adding another one, two, three or four foot tube to the end of the standard four foot tube. Digital image processing is used to re-distribute and interpolate the original data to fill the combined length of tubing in a seamless fashion. A complete kits consists of an expansion controller, two extension tubes and all the required cabling. They are available in the four different lengths shown below.

ICELED Flood   Price: $ 104.99   The Iceled Flood provides a powerful, high quality light beam ideally suited to floodlighting interior areas. This compact light source can be surface-mounted to provide light wherever it's needed. The wide-angle beam ensures an excellent spread of light even at close range. Compared to the Iceled Spot, the beam is equally as bright but covers more than twice the area.   Control The Iceled Flood can be used with or without an external controller. A stand alone mode allows it to perform a variety of functions by simply connecting it to a 12 volt DC supply. This makes it ideal as a "starter" or "standalone" light source suitable for use wherever 12 volts are present, e.g. inside PC cases.

ICELED Scanner   Price: $159.99   The Iceled Scanner is a 20-inch long tube. It has 72 separate red, green and blue integrated LED elements, which together provide a directly viewable scan array.     Based on the same principles as all other Iceled light sources, using no more than a 12 Volt DC supply, this Scanner can be left to scan through the 2 million colors on its own, or can be frozen to scan on any particular color. Better yet, connecting its data wire to an Iceled controller gives control over the scan color and pattern. Linking the Scanner to UFO for example will synchronize the two systems so that each UFO pattern produces a unique scan in complimentary colors. This extends to sound reactivity, so the Scanner patterns also respond directly to music!

ICELED Wheel Well Kit   Price: $324.99   This Iceled Wheel Well kit consists of four waterproof Floods that fill the gaps in your underbody lighting around your wheels. Two of the four Floods are specially designed to copy the front most pixel color on the side tubes, while the rear pair will naturally copy the rear most pixel color. This means that the streetwise pattern will show amber all the way down the sides and all other patterns will flow neatly past the wheels. Although these sealed Floods are designed for a wheel well application, they will still work for other uses. They will work fine when connected to the Zen controller or the 'I' Terminal on the UFO kit.

ICELED Zap Controller   Price: $71.99   Iceled Zap+ is a compact controller with some very powerful features. It provides even more control of Iceled light sources than the built in stand-alone mode of each light. With just two buttons you can dial-up any static color, produce a phasing color sweep, have colors beat to the music (using the built-in microphone), or create a strobe effect with a variable flash-rate. ICELED Zen Controller   Price: $147.99   The Iceled ZEN provides a powerful new way of controlling an infinite number of Iceled light sources by dividing them into zones. Each zone can be wired to correspond to a separate area inside or out. Ten different programs can then be selected to provide an independent arrangement of contrasting colors and effects in each area. Effects include color sweeps, sound activation of various properties and synchronization with the UFO if it is connected. The Iceled ZEN provides remote control of four independent zones of interior or exterior lighting. Each zone can be set to react to sound, color sweep or follow the global color from UFO if connected. Additional ZEN controllers can be linked to provide extra zones if required. 10 different programs plus a strobe mode can be recalled to provide instant access to a variety of dramatic lighting arrangements. Each ZEN can drive up to 16 Iceled light sources such as SPOT, GEM, FLOOD or Tubes in various lengths.     Control All program selection and adjustment is through a remote control, allowing the Electronic Control Unit to be placed out of sight. ICELED Tron   Price: $44.99   Iceled's most affordable product, Tron, casts a super bright glow from a mini LED tube. From end-to-end, Tron measures 6.5 inches and emits half the amount of light as a one-foot tube. The beam is concentrated into a tighter oval producing a more intense pool of light. This will be ideal for providing strong 'accent lighting' for all interior and exterior applications - and also for Motorcycles.   While Tron is housed inside a very durable waterproof polycarbonate tube, it isn't pixel based like its bigger brothers. It will connect to any Iceled controller and behave just like a Gem, Spot or Flood. Tron includes the built-in stand-alone program which allows it to be used with nothing more than a 12VDC supply. All the other usual Iceled refinements are included, such as electronic protection and optimum LED drive current regulation. Tron is also highly energy efficient - typical current draw is as low as 0.05 Amps and only 0.1 Amp maximum when all the LEDs are fully on.

Iceled Gem   DOME Price: $71.99 SEALED Price: $76.99 Gem's are available in two versions: dome light or sealed. The miniature dome light format will clip directly in place of the 1.5" long filament lamp frequently found in existing interior light fixtures. The sealed Gem is the same dome light device, but it is housed in a rugged, watertight enclosure for use in exposed locations - or where no pre-existing light fitting is available.     Applications Both Gem's produce a 90 degree wide-angle beam, suitable for floodlighting at close range. Typical applications include interior dome lights, foot-well illumination, and engine bay lighting. In particular, the sealed version is also ideal for "filling-in" gaps in underbody lighting, such as around the insides of wheel-arches. The sealed Gem has plenty of uses on motorbikes as well.   The dome light version can pick up its power directly from any suitable light fitting, but also comes with a detachable cable. It can be used to provide power and/or data for linking to any Iceled controller. The sealed Gem has a fixed cable for supplying power and optional data.   Control Both types of the Gem can be used with or without external controllers.
